Visit to the Damascus Gate Restaurant

Continuing through our journey, an iconic, unique place we came across was the “Bawabet Dismashq” (Damascus Gate) restaurant.  To many, this restaurant is known as the world’s largest restaurant featuring six distinct themed sections. These included restaurants varying from Indian, Chinese, Arab, Iranian, Middle Eastern and Syrian cuisine.

Traditional Syrian cuisine was our choice.  The wide variety and choice available made it quite a challenge for the all of us to decide on. However, the choices of food we eventually decided on were ones we didn’t regret.

The food wasn’t the only thing that made this experience “one of the best”.  The atmosphere was magnificent. The restaurants features including the replicas of archaeological ruins of Syria positively differentiated the restaurant from others we had visited.
